1、 Switch selection
For more than 8 points (including more than 8 points of 720p), please use the full gigabit network switch.

The actual bandwidth of our commonly used switches is 50% - 70% of the theoretical value, so the actual bandwidth of a 100m port is 50m-70m. 4m * 12 = 48m, so it is recommended that one 100m access switch can access up to 12 720p network cameras. At the same time, considering that the current network monitoring adopts dynamic coding mode, the peak value of camera code stream may exceed 4m bandwidth, and considering the bandwidth redundancy design, it is appropriate to control one 100m access switch within 8, and Gigabit ports are recommended for more than 8.

2、 Make a backup

Before the construction of security monitoring, the IP addresses of all network ball machines, network cameras, NVRs, computer main controllers, storage servers, streaming media servers, HD decoders and management servers in the system shall be uniformly modified and registered. Attention must be paid to avoid IP address conflicts with the original equipment in the local network (such as computers and network printers).

3、 Register

Please do not set all the devices (including the original devices) in the network system to the automatic IP address acquisition mode. All the devices shall manually set the IP address and register in the registration form.

4、 Note IP

If there is a wireless router in the network system, please pay attention to whether the IP addresses of mobile phones and tablets connected to the wireless network system conflict.

5、 Pay attention to the selection of aggregation switch
The national standard super class 5 network cable can be used between IPC and front-end switch, and the national standard class 6 network cable and class 6 crystal head must be used between front-end switch and main switch in machine room.
